When To Visit

Best time to visit Kashmir is during the months of March to August. During this period two seasons are covered in Kashmir. Spring (March-early May) and Summer (early May-late August). The blossoms of spring and the cool weather of summer creates the perfect season to visit Kashmir during this time.

Best time to visit Leh is during the months of March to Mid May. During this season enjoy the stunning beauty of the landscape of Ladakh and Leh.

Itinerary

DAY 1ARRIVE SRINAGAR-SIGHTSEEING

  • Our representative will meet and receive you at Airport and transfer to Hotel / Houseboat. 
  • Evening enjoy a Shikara ride (at your own cost) in the picturesque Dal Lake.
  • Overnight at Srinagar.

DAY 2SRINAGAR-GULMARG (B)

  • After breakfast transfers to Gulmarg – a beautiful summer resort in the valley. It is popular for its highest golf course and for winter skiing. Gulmarg has been a resort for the kings like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir who used to visit frequently Here you will witness the beauty of the natural surroundings of Kashmir set out like a Doll’s village, Gulmarg used to be a favorite hunt of the British in Summer and you will find the old fashion Hotels and shops in the village.
  • Enjoy a pony ride and a Gondola ride (cable car) to Kangdori/Alpatar (at your own cost).
  • Day free for leisure. Overnight at Gulmarg.

DAY 3GULMARG-PAHALGAM (B)

  • After breakfast drive to Pahalgam is an idyllic place located on the banks of river Lidder and Sheshnag. It is the base for several treks in the region and for the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine of Amarnath. The surroundings are ideal and allow for relaxation and leisure in the true spirit of traditional hill resort.
  • Enroute visit Cricket bat manufacturing factory & Saffron fields.
  • Arrive & check in at Hotel. Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight at Pahalgam.

DAY 4PAHALGAM SIGHTSEEING (B)

  • After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Pahalgam-An alpine place surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, and mountain lakes. Pahalgam also offers a 9 hole golf course, skiing, pony trails, angling (rainbow & brown trouts) horse riding and Trekking opportunities to various places of interest in and around to locations like the Aru valley, Betab valley ( a place where famous bollywood movie Betab was shot) Lidderwat valley, Kolhai glacier, Chandanwari (route to holy cave).
  • A few kilometers from Pahalgam are the Baisaran Hills – covered by a dense forest of pines, firs and cedars over the Lidder Valley, this makes for a perfect camp site.
  • Explore the surroundings and return to Pahalgam Hotel.
  • Overnight at Pahalgam.
  • (Note: Visit Aru Valley, Chandanwari, Baisaran Hills & Betab Valley at your own Cost)

DAY 5PAHALGAM-SRINAGAR (B)

  • After a leisurely morning, drive to Srinagar with a brief enroute visit to Awantipura ruins, a 1100-year-old temple complex.
  • Arrive in Srinagar and check into Hotel.
  • Later on visit some of the famous points for sightseeing in city which includes: -Nishat Garden Know as ‘Garden of pleasure’,Shalimar Garden Know as ‘Garden of love’, Shankarya charya temple, Tulip Garden, Cheshma, Shahi Pari Mahal.
  • Overnight at Srinagar. 

DAY 6SRINAGAR-SONMARG-KARGIL (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & drive towards Leh via picturesque Sonmarg. This beautiful meadow is right at the foot of the Zoji La pass and thus is the final place in Kashmir.
  • Later drive towards Kargil via zero point.
  • Overnight at Kargil.

DAY 7KARGIL-LEH (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & proceed for Leh.
  • Rest of the Day for rest and leisure to acclimatize.
  • Overnight at Leh.

DAY 8LEH-SHAM VALLEY TOUR-LEH (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Drive on the Srinagar highway and start your day by visiting the hall of fame – museum constructed by the indian army, gurudwara patthar sahib nestled deep in the Himalayas.
  • Experience the magnetic hill which defies the law of gravity.
  • Stop at the confluence of the indus and Zanskar rivers.
  • Later drive back to the hotel in leh.
  • Overnight at Leh.

DAY 9LEH-NUBRA VALLEY (B)

  • Breakfat at hotel.
  • Check out & drive to nubra valley crossing Khardungla-la-pass – the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft.
  • Nubra valley is situated to the north of ladakh between the karakoram and ladakh ranges of the Himalayas.
  • Check in at the resort and enjoy your evening at campsite.
  • Overnight at Nubra Valley.

DAY 10NUBRA VALLEY-LEH (B)

  • Breakfast at Camp.
  • Check out & proceed for sightseeing of Nubra Valley.
  • Visit the diskit monastery and the sand dunes to enjoy a camel safari (optional).
  • Later drive to leh over khardung la.
  • Evening take a walk to the local market.
  • Overnight at leh.

DAY 11LEH-PANGONG LAKE-LEH (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Leave for Pangong lake through changla pass 5486 mtrs.
  • Pangong lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km in length, it is bisected by the international border between india and china.
  • After spending some time at pangong we drive back to hotel in leh.
  • Overnight at Leh.

DAY 12LEH AIRPORT DROP (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & transfer to Airport for your onward journey.
  • Tour ends with Sweet Memories…!!!
