DAY 2VILNIUS – TRAKAI – ANYKŠČIAI (B)

Morning excursion in the historic Vilnius Old Town including the Vilnius Cathedral and its square, the complex of Vilnius University, Pilies street containing historical, as well as, architectural monuments, which date back to the 16th-18th century, the Gothic corner of Vilnius with St. Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, the Gate of Dawn possessing a miraculous icon of Virgin Mary, and the 17th century Baroque church of St. Peter and Paul famous for its exceptional all-white interior.
In the afternoon, a tour of Trakai will take place beginning with a degustation of the traditional cuisine of Karaims (optional), adherents of Karaite Judaism brought to Lithuania by the Grand Duke Vytautas from Crimea. This city is the ancient capital of Lithuania located 28 km from Vilnius. Trakai is most well-known for its alluring 14th-15th century castle, the only castle in all of Eastern Europe that is situated on an island, where exhibitions of prehistoric findings, as well as, the 17th-18th century art depicting the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes and Karaims, are being held.

DAY 3ANYKŠČIAI – HILL OF CROSSES – RUNDALE – RIGA (B)

Departure to Riga with en route stop at the Hill of Crosses, a unique place of national pilgrimage, and after crossing the border of Latvia, the imposing baroque residence – Rundale Palace, which was created by the Italian architect B. Rastrelli.
Close to Rundale you will experience traditional Latvian cuisine in a farmstead (optional).
Afternoon excursion in the Old Town of Riga features its most renowned architectural monuments: 13th century St. Peter’s Church, St. George’s Church, St. John’s Church, 14th century Riga Castle, Big and Small Guild houses, medieval dwelling houses “Three Brothers” and the Dome Square with its famous Dome Cathedral boasting one of the biggest pipe organs in Europe.

DAY 4RIGA – PARNU – TALLINN (B)

After reaching Tallinn, which is one of the best-preserved and authentic medieval capitals in Europe filled with churches and merchant houses, evening city tour highlighting its surroundings and its Old Town will commence.
The tour includes a visit to Catherine’s Valley Park and Palace, the Song Festival Amphitheatre and its venue, which has rich 120-year-old traditions, as well as, various other sights. You will also see Tallinn’s most acclaimed attractions: Toompea Hill and the Parliament building, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Tall Hermann, Kiek in de Kök and Dome Cathedral. The tour ends in Town Hall Square with a view of the Town Hall, a Gothic masterpiece of the 13th-14th century.
