When to Visit

The Best Time to Visit Kutch is in winter months, from October to March. This is really the best time to visit when the weather is pleasant and perfect for sightseeing.

DAY 1AHMEDABAD TO GANDHIDHAM

  • Start from Ahmedabad to Gandhidham, a commercial capital of Kutch.
  • The town was created in the early 1950s for the resettlement of the refugees from Sindh in the aftermath of the partition of India.
  • Upon Arrival, check-in at Hotel.
  • Kandla Port is only 13 kms from Gandhidham, it boost of India’s hub for exporting grains and importing oil and one of the highest-earning ports in the country.
  • A prior permission is required to visit port from port authorities.
  • Overnight at Gandhidham.

DAY 2GANDHIDHAM - DHOLAVIRA (B)

  • Breakfast at Hotel.

  • Today embark on a journey to one of the most ancient civilations sites / township, Dholavira.
  • Dholavira is the larger of the two most remarkable excavations of the Indus Valley Civilization or Harappan culture, dating back to 4500 years ago. What this site offers you, in the intense environment that comes with being surrounded by the Great Rann of Kutch, is a unique insight into the pioneering Harappan mind, with one of the world’s earliest and best planned water conservation systems and what might be the world’s first signboards, written in ancient Indus script.

DAY 3DHOLAVIRA - KANTHKOT - MANDVI (B)

  • Breakfast at Hotel.

  • From ancient civilzation to beach on the way visit one of the great forts of the land. Where else can you find such diverse and unique locations, nowhere except Kutch.
  • Start early from Dholavira to Mandvi on the way visit Kanthkot Fort.
  • It was extensively known that the Kanthkot fort was built in the mid 8 century. There are three temples that can be seen within the fort which further have a countless architectural importance in the history of its existence. The fort was constructed during the region of Jadejas during the 8th century AD. Jadeja belong to Yadu or Chandravanshi rulers of the Moon Dynasty.
  • Later reach to one of the best beach towns of India, Mandvi.

DAY 4MANDVI - BHUJ (B)

  • Breakfast at Hotel.

  • Mandvi Beach is a pristine and tranquil seashore which is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the region. In addition to being a laidback beach location, Mandvi Beach is popular for its camping and water sports facilities.
  • Later during the day visit other Vijay Vilas Palace, Shyamji Krishna Varma Smarak, Ship Building Yard, etc.
  • One can visit Roha fort 48 kms from Mandvi or on the way return to Bhuj can visit 72 Jinalay, a Jain Temple.
  • Check-in at Hotel.
  • Overnight at Bhuj.

DAY 5BHUJ - WHITE DESERT, DHORDO - BHUJ (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Today visit one of the most fascinating wonders on this part of land, White Desert.
  • The Rann of Kutch is famous for its white salty desert sand and is reputed to be the largest salt desert in the world. ‘Rann’ means desert in Hindi which in turn is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Irina’ which also means desert.
  • Later comeback to Bhuj to do some local sightseeings like Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal, Kutch Museam, etc.
  • One can buy local handicraft items as well.
  • Overnight at Bhuj

DAY 6BHUJ - AHMEDABAD (B)

Start from Bhuj to Ahmedabad on the way you can visit one of the wild life sanctuaries in Surendranagar district.
