What To Visit

The best time to visit Himachal Pradesh would be the summer season. These months stretch out from March to June and September to December. Himachal Pradesh can be visited at any point during the year. Although the summer season is the best time with bounty of attractions and places to visit in Himachal.

Itinerary

DAY 1DELHI/CHANDIGARH-SHIMLA

  • Arrive Delhi/Chandigarh and transfer by road to Shimla (370 kms / 8 hrs) the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snowcapped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas.
  • Upon arrival check in at hotel.
  • Overnight at Shimla

DAY 2SHIMLA-KUFRI-SHIMLA (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • This morning you will visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hour’s drive from Shimla.
  • Afternoon takes a walking tour of Shimla, visit the Jakoo hills that offer a panoramic view of the town visit the Vice Regal Lodge and walk down the Mall Road.
  • Evening back to hotel.
  • Overnight at Shimla.

DAY 3SHIMLA-MANALI (B)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out from the hotel & proceed by road to Manali (274 kms / 7hrs) a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 metres. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, which gradually close in on both sides of the Beas and nestling in their shade, as though carved out of primeval forest, is a scattered hamlet, which comprises this picturesque summer resort.
  • Upon arrival check in at hotel.
  • Overnight at Manali.

DAY 4MANALI SIGHTSEEING (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • You can take a walking tour of Manali, visiting the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving.
  • Visit the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center.
  • Rest of the day at leisure OR walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for its hot sulphur springs.
  • Evening back to hotel.
  • Overnight at Manali.

DAY 5MANALI-ROHTANG-MANALI (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Visit the Solang Valley and the not to be missed Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (Rohtang/Solang Valley can be visited by guest directly at own cost.). The majesty of the mountains and the glaciers can be seen at their best, you have next two hours to enjoy this snowy haven.
  • Evening back to hotel.
  • Overnight at Manali.

DAY 6MANALI-DHARAMSHALA CITY TOUR (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & drive to Dharamshala (235kms/ 7 hours’ drive), on arrival check in at the Hotel.
  • In the evening local tour of Dharamshala visiting the Official residence of Dalai Lama the exiled Tibetan Leader, McLeodganj, Palampur etc.
  • Overnight at Hotel.

 

DAY 7DHARAMSHALA-DALHOUSIE (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & proceed to Dalhousie (140kms /4 hrs.) Situated at 2039 mts in the outer slopes of the Dhaula Dhar range with its natural beauty and natural surroundings.
  • On arrival check- in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day for leisure and shopping.
  • Overnight at Dalhousie.

 

DAY 8DALHOUSIE SIGHTSEEING (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Full day sightseeing to Khajjiar, 22 kms from. Dalhousie.  Its one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island and 9-hole golf course here are the other interesting places to cover.
  • Evening back to hotel.
  • Overnight at Dalhousie.

DAY 9DALHOUSIE-AMRITSAR (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & proceed for Amritsar means ‘the pool of nectar’. The name Amritsar is derived from Amrit Sarovar, the holy tank that surrounds the marvelous Golden Temple.
  • Upon arrival check in to hotel.
  • Overnight at the Amritsar.

DAY 10AMRISAR SIGHTSEEING-DEPARTURE (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out & Proceed for Amritsar full day sightseeing tour.
  • Visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervor rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause.
  • Evening visit Jallianwala Bagh & Golden Temple.
  • Late evening drop to airport/station for your onward journey.
