When To Visit

Best time to visit Kashmir is during the months of March to August. During this period two seasons are covered in Kashmir. Spring (March-early May) and Summer (early May-late August). The blossoms of spring and the cool weather of summer creates the perfect season to visit Kashmir during this time.

Itinerary

DAY 1ARRIVE SRINAGAR-SIGHTSEEING

  • Our representative will meet and receive you at Airport and transfer to Hotel / Houseboat. 
  • Evening enjoy a Shikara ride (at your own cost) in the picturesque Dal Lake.
  • Overnight at Srinagar.

DAY 2SRINAGAR-GULMARG (B)

  • After breakfast transfers to Gulmarg – a beautiful summer resort in the valley. It is popular for its highest golf course and for winter skiing. Gulmarg has been a resort for the kings like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir who used to visit frequently Here you will witness the beauty of the natural surroundings of Kashmir set out like a Doll’s village, Gulmarg used to be a favorite hunt of the British in Summer and you will find the old fashion Hotels and shops in the village.
  • Enjoy a pony ride and a Gondola ride (cable car) to Kangdori/Alpatar (at your own cost).
  • Day free for leisure. Overnight at Gulmarg.

DAY 3GULMARG-PAHALGAM (B)

  • After breakfast drive to Pahalgam is an idyllic place located on the banks of river Lidder and Sheshnag. It is the base for several treks in the region and for the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine of Amarnath. The surroundings are ideal and allow for relaxation and leisure in the true spirit of traditional hill resort.
  • Enroute visit Cricket bat manufacturing factory & Saffron fields.
  • Arrive & check in at Hotel. Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight at Pahalgam.

DAY 4PAHALGAM SIGHTSEEING (B)

  • After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Pahalgam-An alpine place surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, and mountain lakes. Pahalgam also offers a 9 hole golf course, skiing, pony trails, angling (rainbow & brown trouts) horse riding and Trekking opportunities to various places of interest in and around to locations like the Aru valley, Betab valley ( a place where famous bollywood movie Betab was shot) Lidderwat valley, Kolhai glacier, Chandanwari (route to holy cave).
  • A few kilometers from Pahalgam are the Baisaran Hills – covered by a dense forest of pines, firs and cedars over the Lidder Valley, this makes for a perfect camp site.
  • Explore the surroundings and return to Pahalgam Hotel.
  • Overnight at Pahalgam.
  • (Note: Visit Aru Valley, Chandanwari, Baisaran Hills & Betab Valley at your own Cost)

DAY 5PAHALGAM-SRINAGAR (B)

  • After a leisurely morning, drive to Srinagar with a brief enroute visit to Awantipura ruins, a 1100-year-old temple complex.
  • Arrive in Srinagar and check into Hotel.
  • Later on visit some of the famous points for sightseeing in city which includes: -Nishat Garden Know as ‘Garden of pleasure’,Shalimar Garden Know as ‘Garden of love’, Shankarya charya temple, Tulip Garden, Cheshma, Shahi Pari Mahal.
  • Overnight at Srinagar. 

DAY 6SRINAGAR-SONMARG-SRINAGAR (B)

  • After breakfast proceed for a day trip to the Meadow of gold known as Sonmarg. This beautiful meadow is right at the foot of the Zoji La pass and thus is the final place in Kashmir.
  • Enroute catch the glimpse of famous Sind stream. One of the most popular short walks from Sonmarg and a major attraction during the summer months is the 4-km route to Thajiwas, a small valley at the foot of the Sonmarg glacier.
  • Enjoy pony ride (at your own cost) relax in the cool climates and serene surroundings of Sonmarg.
  • Evening you will be transferred back to Srinagar. Overnight at Srinagar.
    (Note Visit Thajiwas Glaciers at your own cost).

DAY 7SRINAGAR-DOODH PATRI-YOUSMARG-SRINAGAR (B)

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Proceed to Doodh-e-pathri is yet another bowl shaped valley about 42 kms from Srinagar. It is a recent discovery in the valley covered with the green carpeted meadows. A flowing river resounds with soft wind passing through the pine trees of the enclosures of the valley. It is also called as a “VALLEY OF MILK” because it produces rich milk in a large quantity.
  • Later on drive to yusmarg is an enjoyment in itself. Grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop of splendid snow capped mountains leave you almost speechless.
  • Evening back to Srinagar.
  • Overnight at Srinagar.

DAY 8SRINAGAR DEPARTURE (B)

  • After Breakfast transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey.
  • Tour ends with Sweet Memories.
